The process for receiving an inlay or onlay typically involves two visits. At the first appointment, Dr. Nateghi removes the damaged or decayed portion of the tooth, takes an impression, and places a temporary restoration. The impression is sent to a dental lab where the inlay or onlay is custom-made. At the second visit, the temporary is removed and the permanent restoration is bonded securely to the tooth, then adjusted and polished for a comfortable fit.
